Take the whole family down to this incredible, creekside park located in the Coconino National Forest. Pack a lunch and make it a picnic as they have several sites for day use and all come equipped with picnic tables. Whether you want to fish, swim or just wade in the waters of Oak Creek while enjoying the view of towering Cathedral Rock, Crescent Moon Ranch is the perfect place for the whole family!
Posse Ground Park
A favorite spot for both locals and visitors, Posse Grounds Park offers something for everyone — from wide-open play areas and scenic picnic spots to Sedona’s best playground and an impressive mountain bike skills park. With panoramic red rock views, walking trails, and facilities for all ages, it’s the perfect place to let kids play, practice your riding technique, or simply enjoy a relaxed afternoon outdoors.

Sunset Park
Sunset Park boasts two shaded playgrounds and two picnic ramadas that can be rented in addition to two tennis courts, a multi-use court and a splash pad open Saturday, May 1, and stay open through Thursday, Sept. 30. Children are also sure to enjoy the StoryWalk provided by the Sedona Public Library that meanders through the park along the sidewalk.
Ranger Station Park
Tucked in the heart of Sedona, Ranger Station Park combines local history with family-friendly charm. Built around Sedona’s original ranger station, the park features a modern playground, open green space, picnic tables, and shaded areas perfect for relaxing between adventures. It’s a peaceful community spot where kids can play, parents can unwind, and visitors can experience a bit of Sedona’s heritage in a laid-back, welcoming setting.
Verde Canyon Railroad
From the moment you step foot on one of our meticulously refurbished train cars, you and your family will be transported to a simpler, more leisurely time away from the distractions and annoyances of the modern world. Little Horse Trail
